A DETAILED GUIDE TO DENES ALL-IN-ONE TABLETS

All-in-One is a unique herbal supplement and one of our oldest and most trusted products. It was also one of the first herbal combinations devised by the founder of Denes, Buster Lloyd-Jones. Buster put together this combination of Seaweed, Parsley, Watercress and Wheat Germ Oil to provide a good source of vitamins, minerals and trace elements. In doing so, he discovered that naturally derived supplements were more readily absorbed and utilized by the body compared to their synthetic counterparts. This was reflected in the health of the animals that he treated.

WHY USE ALL-IN-ONE TABLETS?

A supplement like AIO is a useful addition to your pet's diet. This is particularly so at times of stress, during illness and convalescence and during pregnancy and growth. The benefits of adding extra vitamins, minerals and trace elements to both natural diets and processed pet foods, has been proven. Obvious improvements include a glossier and healthier coat, brighter eyes, an increase in energy level and a better overall state of health. Sometimes, even minor health problems will clear up with no additional treatment.

HERBS IN All-in-One Tablets

Seaweed (Fucus vesiculosus)

Seaweed, or Kelp, is widely used as a herbal remedy and as a general supplement. It is particularly good for encouraging the growth of the hair and in improving the condition of the coat. Seaweed is a good source of iodine and, consequently, acts as a tonic for the thyroid gland. Seaweed can also be effective in reducing obesity and in the treatment of some cases of rheumatism and arthritis. It also contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B12, C and E, copper, iron, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, silicon, sulphur and zinc. Do not give seaweed to your pet if it has an over-active thyroid gland.

Parsley (Petroselinum crispum)

Parsley has been used in medicine for many centuries and was held in high esteem by the Greeks, although it is more commonly thought of as a culinary herb. The roots, seeds and leaves are used medicinally. Its main action is as a mild diuretic, helping promote urination. In this context it has been used in the past to help with kidney problems such as infections, gravel and stones in the bladder and for jaundice. Parsley acts on the bowel and has a carminative effect, helping to dispel gas. It also has a high chlorophyll content and contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 and C, as well as calcium, copper, iodine, iron, phosphorus, potassium and sulphur.

Watercress (Nasturtium officinales)

Watercress is a pungent herb and belongs to the mustard family. It originated in the Middle East and was used by the ancient Greeks. By the 17th century, watercress was used in soup and proved popular as a good remedy to cleanse the blood in the spring. It is very rich in iron, so much so that the leaves and stems turn brown if they are exposed to the air for too long. Watercress also contains vitamins A, C, D and E, as well as calcium and phosphorus.

Wheatgerm oil

This is the oil extracted from wheatgerm, part of the wheat grain consisting of the root and shoot. It is a good source of minerals and vitamins, especially vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps protect cells from damage.

Elderberry (Sambucus nigra)

Buster Lloyd-Jones used herbal remedies to great advantage during his lifetime. One, which he used with great success, was Elderberry. This remedy, he discovered, was rich in iron and added depth and colour to the coat of both dogs and cats. It also increased the depth of pigmentation to the nose, often replacing the pale appearance of some dogs' noses with the proper black pigmentation that most dogs normally have. Elderberry, in fact, has been widely used as a herbal medicine and has been mentioned in texts as far back as Anglo-Saxon times. Modern day uses include the treatment of catarrh, rheumatism and to help purify the blood.
